the parts numbers are

feature to cross reference and look up close or related items
directly within the results.

What
happened to the old site?
The old site is still there, pretty much
in its entirety, it is just wrapped on the top and to the left with
the Web Store Navigation (menu) and the Header for the Web Store.
The default page that comes up within these borders when using the
address www.gen-aircraft-hardware.com
has all the original features links and Info just like before, we
have just added the Related goodies to allow you to order online.

What about A:
Prices, and, B: Minimums ?
A; Prices
We do list the prices for Items that we
offer for sale right on the Webstore.
Great News, the more you add to the cart,
the better your bottom line costs will be for all of your items.
The online ordering system is designed to recalculate the entire
order each time you make a change to it, either buy adding items,
changing quantities or deleting unwanted items. Another very
good way to save money is to have the value of your cart exceed
$75.00, then you are eligible for Free UPS ground shipping within
the Continental United States.
B; Minimums
We have never had a Dollar minimum.
We have a policy of not selling less than a full package. IE Small washers=100,
3/8 Nylocs(MS21044N6)=25 and so on.
We do list the package quantities right on the
Webstore.
About 5 years ago we did institute a
small
order fee (still no minimum) that when the order is less than $25.00 there
is a small order fee of $5.00 added, instead of the standard $2.00 handling fee.
This just keeps us from going upside down shipping orders without enough value
to cover our associated in house costs. Most people understand, and either order
a little more, or accept the Small order charge.

I
need something AOG, what do I do?
You may browse our Web Store, ( Aircraft
Hardware Online Ordering System ) to see if we list your specific
item, If we show it Call Us! (online ordering is not for
urgent or AOG requirements). If you don't see what you are looking
for and it looks like something we would probably have have Call
Us. If we are not showing it or anything like it we could go out
and look for your item but please be aware that this takes time
and you are in an AOG situation. We can find almost any available
hardware related item but it does take time, usually anywhere from
1-5 days just to locate the item. We still must then.
-
Quote it.
-
Receive a Misc. Item Confirmation.
-
Purchase The item/s
-
Wait for the Item/s
-
Receive the Item/s
-
Inspect the Item/s
-
Package and Ship The Item/s
The bottom line is, if you are AOG and
we don't have it please exhaust your resources first, then if
that doesn't work we will make every effort to find the hardware
related item/s for you.

Why
is the Web Store closed sometimes?
The store is always closed for business
transactions from Friday at 4:00 pm until Sunday 12:00 am Pacific
Time.
The store is open
for business from Sunday morning at 12:01am, Until Friday
at 4:00pm in the afternoon.
There may be other brief times that the store is closed
for maintenance, but that has become less of a necessity as the store has been
working very well.
The President and Founder of GAHco, Tom
Brink is a Christian who desires to keep all 10 of the original
Commandments including the Sabbath "rest", a memorial
of Creation and God's first full day with Man in the Garden of Eden.
That was back when the commandments were simply part of Man's character
and did not need to be written out. Most of you know the rest of
the story, First God Himself wrote 10 laws in Stone, and then men
started writing their laws on paper and they haven't stopped yet.

How do I get
a Catalog?
We do not have what most people call a Catalog,
we have Reference Books!
They differ in that almost all Catalogs have prices in them, our
book does not. The data in our books does not quickly become obsolete,
and therefore this saves everyone a lot of money. We first
printed our Reference Books in 1994, they are still being used by
many of the original recipients. These books are a comprehensive
resource for selecting and identifying Aircraft Hardware and related
items. The biggest problem that we have is that they are frequently
stolen or borrowed and not returned (stole by a friend).
An Important note about our Reference
Books:
These are Reference Books, they help you look up parts that
are made to Standards such as AN, AS, HL, MIL, MS, MW, NAS and other.
The Reference Books are NOT STOCK
LISTS! We DO NOT carry every part number that can be formulated
using the data in the book.
We DO CARRY, or try to carry all the
items that we have found popular or necessary for the maintenance
of General, Agricultural, Helicopter, or Lighter Corporate Aircraft.
To get a Reference Book:
On the left side of the site, Click
on
[Literature/Manuals] and select either [PB REF BOOK]
for the
paperback version. It is $6.00 (includes postage if ordered alone)*
Note: The PB REF BOOK can be yours free,
"one time", with a $75.00 order or more.
or select [REFERENCE BOOK] for the Larger Format with a Hardcover
Vinyl 7 Ring Binder. It is $35.00 and includes postage/shipping
if ordered alone.*
* Free Shipping/Postage for Reference Books
is valid only in the U.S. or its territories.

How
do I find part numbers?
-
Start with your approved Parts or Maintenance
manual for the aircraft you are working on.
-
Reference Books are Helpful if you
have one.
-
If you don't have our Reference Book
the pages of it are on our website in PDF format. See Tech Support.
-
The Menu on the left side of our website
can lead you to your item, Clicking on the Text will bring up
Item Numbers that are Related with the area of the menu that
you are in.
-
Once Item numbers are in your screen,
from using the Category menu, many of the Items have buttons
close to the Item # selected, that can be clicked on to show
either a Basic Picture or a Detailed Picture.
-
The Basic Image will show you a digital
picture of the Item, typically next to a precision graduated
ruler, either in 100/ths or in 64/ths, be aware of the scale.
-
The Detailed Image will show the same
picture along with the pertinent information extracted from
the reference Book pages Related with it.

I
want to just type in part numbers and place my order, how do I do
that?
On the left side of the website towards
the top there is an area that looks like what you see below, I have
italicized the text for the ones that are most helpful for quick
data entry and info return.

a simple (.csv) file of Item numbers and Quantities. You will then
allow our system process the uploaded file and finish them by placing
the valid items directly in your cart for review, approval, editing
of quantities, or deletion of each individual item. You must
be an Existing Customer and Logged in to use this advanced feature
There are instructions on how to produce the file on the page you
will use to upload.
Multi-line
Order Form - Is the easiest tool
to use when you are already sure of your part numbers and don't
have a long enough list to justify making the (.csv) file needed
for the Send Shopping List
function. Be advised even a Limited Store browser can use
this feature, they will just be limited to how many times they may
press the [Find These Parts] button. As an Existing Customer and
Logged in you may use this as many times as you would like.

I
have a Bolt or Screw, what Nut should I use?
Besides looking it up in our Reference Book
by Dimension or Charts, there may be an easier way!
Find the Bolt or Screw using the
Search Our Items function
at the upper left navigation area. Click on the bolt that you want
to find a Related Item for, this will put this item directly in
the store window. You can also select it by using the Menus on the
left side of the Web Store.
Notice that just above the Add to Cart button for the Fastener that
you selected is a small rectangular window that will say [Related
Items] if they are listed for your fastener.
If there are none the same window will say [No Related Items].
By clicking in the [Related Items] window, you will reveal Items
that commonly are Related with the original item. You may then click
on the product within that same window putting the newly selected
item as the focus and the original item just to the left of it as
a link, allowing you to return to the original item whenever you
desire. While you have the Related Item in focus you may read the
descriptions and look at the available images.
Please keep in mind, these may not be exactly what you are looking
for, they are just the most common related items for the original
item. You may need to look further in the menu if you have a special
application.

I am
not in the United States, can I still order from the web store?
Not at this Time.
Prices are valid in the United States and
its territories only.
You may browse the site and see what we
have to offer, but you will need to e-mail
us with a list of the Hardware or Related Items that you are
looking for. The prices you get may be similar to what you
would see on the Web Store, but there are many varied requirements
to send products internationally. They may involve Increased Minimums,
